Virgin Mobile is one of the worlds most popular wireless communications brands. This stems from the fact that the brand operates in a number of countries as a result of a partnership between Virgin Group and an existing mobile network operator or mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the country. The cellular service provider has had operations in countries like the United Kingdom, Australia, Ireland, Russia, France, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Canada, Mexico, and the United States, where it is powered by the Sprint 4G LTE network.

How To Top Up Virgin Mobile

There are numerous ways in which you could top up your phone. Such methods include via your debit or credit card, an ATM (service ends on the 31st of May 2019), or via cash through e-top up cards, vouchers.

Debit or Credit Card

To use either your debit or credit card to top up your phone from the comfort of your living room or bed, you must first register the card by visiting ‘Your Account’ online and clicking on ‘Register Your Credit/Debit Card’. You further have the option of giving Virgin Mobile a call on 789 from your Virgin mobile phone or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone.

ATM Top-Up

As mentioned above, customers will no longer be able to top-up their Virgin Mobile phone via an ATM after May 31st, 2019. Customers will, however, have the option of using the means listed above or those listed below

Text

Send a message for free to 789222. The message should contain the amount you would like to top up (between £5 – £50 in denominations of £5), the last 4 digits of your card number, last 3 security digits on the back of your card (or 4 if you have an American Express card). NOTE: Space should be left between each detail e.g. 10 9876 321. After the process is complete and your account has been topped up, Virgin Mobile will send you a message to let you know.

Vouchers

For customers who use cash, you can top up by purchasing a printed till receipt voucher from any retailer nationwide. Once you have gotten your voucher, simply text the unique voucher PIN to 789111 to top up by text. You further have the option of calling 789 to top up by phone.

E-Top Up Card

For customers who use vouchers regularly, you can get an E-top up card to use to top up quicker and in more places. All you simply need to do is to give your E-top up card to the store assistant and let them know how much credit you would like. You can get as little as £5 or as much as £100 every time.

Virgin Mobile customers can contact Customer Service either via text or call. For the quick and convenient option of text, write and send your query to 07533 016 422 between the hours of 8 am and 9 pm from Monday to Friday, 8 am and 8 pm on Saturday and 8 am to 6 pm on Sunday. NOTE: If you text outside operation hours, a team member will pick up your message as soon as they are back.

To contact the Customer Service team via calls, dial 789 from your Virgin Media phone or call 0345 600 0789 from any other phone between 8 am and 9 pm Monday to Friday, 8 am and 8 pm Saturday, 8 am and 6 pm Sunday.

Virgin Mobile Login

You will need to have a computer or at least an internet connection on a mobile device to be able to open the Virgin Mobile website at mobile.virginmedia.com/ecare/login. Here, you would be able to perform tasks like Manage Yor Account, Top-up, Activation, etc. On the login page, put in your Email address and Password in the spaces provided and click ‘Login’ to enter.

Activation

Mobile phone customers all over the world dread one thing; having to call customer service and spending more than a hundred minutes on the phone just to get it activated. Thankfully, there is a way in which one could get their phone activated without having to call customer service, as long as you have the phone, your MSID, and phone number. With these, use the following steps to get activated.

1. Without giving spaces and using dashes, type ##847446# (basically the word “Virgin”) into the phone.
2. When in the programming menu, locate where the “EDIT” option and go there. (Avoid the “ACTIVATE PHONE?” option as it does not work).
3. Clear the MDN Number that displays on the phone by backspacing them out and typing in your phone’s 10-digit number, starting with the area code.
4. After pressing “OK”, erase the MSID numbers on display and type in the one you were actually provided with.
5. After pressing “OK”, your phone will go back to the Service Program menu where you will select “DONE”

Having completed all these steps, your phone will either automatically shut down or ask you to do so. Select this to complete the process and your phone should be all activated.
